After firing the shots at 417 Marshall St., Kalin Little ran two blocks away to Carson St, where he robbed a man of his brand new car at gunpoint, around 3:20 pm, on Dec. 28, 2020, Norristown Public Information Officer, Kevin Tustin said.

The victim told police he just heard gunshots when the man later identified as Little, came running out of Blackberry Alley, pointed a handgun in his face and told him to "get out of the car," "I need the car," give me the car," authorities said.

The driver got out of the car and Little hopped inside and then sped down Corson St, authorities said. Meanwhile, police investigating the scene at Marshall St-- where they had found 11 spent 9 mm shell casings -- came running over, Tustin said.

The carjacking victim told Norristown police that he had just purchased his vehicle at a local dealership that installs GPS tracking systems into all of their cars.

Police notified the dealership, which was able to help with real-time tracking of the vehicle. The car was ultimately followed using the GPS tracking system into Philadelphia where police stopped the car on Creighton Street less than 20 minutes after being stolen, authorities said.

Little jumped out of the car when he was stopped by Philadelphia police and tried running away, police said after a brief pursuit. Little was apprehended and the 9mm handgun he used in both Norristown incidents just minutes prior was recovered.

Little is awaiting arraignment in Philadelphia for weapons offenses and stolen property. He was also charged with armed robbery of a motor vehicle.
